Bahraini Police Heavily Attacked Hundreds of Demonstrators on Harbor with Stun Grenades and Tear Gas / Photos

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - More than 1000 peaceful protesters blocked off a main thoroughfare to the Bahrain Financial Harbour, a key business district in the Gulf banking centre, overwhelming riot police who fired thick clouds of tear gas and water cannon.

Peaceful demonstrators have been attacked by riot police and tear gas has been shot.

A helicopter is standing still over the harbor, another is hovering to join.

Demonstrators' Tents in front of the financial harbor are being removed by police.

When people at Lulu Roundabout heard gun shots from harbor rushed there. Now More protesters are joining.

"The Ministry of Interior is currently undergoing operations to reopen the King Faisal Highway and advised all protestors to return to the Pearl roundabout for their own safety," it said.

Injured Protesters on Financial Harbor taken to Salmaniya Hospital, and call for more doctors.
